So many PR’s! Who had ever run a 6K before?
The humidity level was extreme and NYRR thankfully abandoned the scheduled wave concept by mid-morning and let runners start on a rolling basis as they arrived. It was a party atmosphere in the park with many runners in costume, including Coach Nick in his patented rainbow tutu, the Benson sisters with their eyelashes, and Konstantin in a dress.
As usual, Patricia finished at the top of her class, 3rd in her age group out of 180 runners. In total 23 of the 4,229 race participants were from Team Osprey.
