In Shaina’s first long run since the NYC Marathon and her bout with Covid, she ran negative splits including the final mile as her fastest mile, en route to a 5+ minute PR. Misty rain became heavier as the morning progressed, but the flat course which included a mix of pavement and trails was conducive to a fast race. Carl represented the male Osprey, and made a strong push for a Boston qualifying time, but couldn’t quite sustain the necessary pace through the marathon’s final miles.
