This year marked the first Tokyo Marathon since 2019 with international non-elite participants, and those participants included two Osprey — Jigar and Cherie.
Cherie earned her 5th Abbott star, and Jigar completed his 4th Major Marathon in the past 17 months, after a challenging training cycle which featured foot ailments and eye surgery.
