What a day for Team Osprey!
Out of a field of 377 runners, 16 were members of Team Osprey — the most participants of any club! Plus we were joined by a few unofficial Osprey-in-training who should earn their full wings soon — the Flock continues to grow!
It was a beautiful day in Central Park and a great opportunity for many teammates to meet each other for the first time. With waves of runners starting as early as 7AM and as late as 11AM, Team Osprey had a large presence at the finish line for much of the morning. Tom received a “Happy Birthday” serenade both at his 7:30 start and from many of his gathered teammates at 9:30. Julia, Simone, Ruth, and others contributed to the refreshment station and the party continued for much of the morning.
Three lady Osprey finished on the women’s leaderboard, led by Patricia at #8.
Lynn and Melissa won their age groups, Clarke, Patricia, and Tom placed 2nd in their age groups, and Donna took 4th in hers!
