With 52 runners, including out-of-towners from California, Florida, Georgia, and Massachusetts, Team Osprey boasted a flock nearly as large as its NYC Marathon turnout. The weekend included a Friday night cocktail party on Julia’s terrace and a post-race feast at Patsy’s Pizzeria.
The course was epic, beginning with the hills of Prospect Park before exiting Brooklyn over the Manhattan Bridge, traveling north up the FDR Drive, West across 42nd street through Times Square, and north again to a Central Park finish. Lynn, Cassie, and Arlo were a welcome sight on 42nd street, while Elizabeth and Piera anchored Osprey Central on Central Park South just over a mile from the finish line.
Sally celebrated her first half marathon, while veterans Shaina and Simone set course PR’s, and a huge number of Osprey recorded half marathon PR’s (Alex F, Anne, Bella, Dianne, Kristin, Laura P, Melissa, and Morgan).
What a day! What a weekend!
